A Fond Farewell to CancerLINC Staff Member

We wish a happy retirement to Gloria Cooley! Gloria started as the Client Services Coordinator in 2017. In that position, she connected cancer patients with attorneys, financial planners, and community resources. Thank you, Gloria, for your dedication and commitment to CancerLINC patients for the past 4 years. We hope you have a wonderful time traveling and spending quality time with your family.

What Legacy Will You Leave Behind?

You can make a difference today and for the future when you become a CancerLINC Legacy Society Member. Becoming a CancerLINC Legacy Society Member helps us to continue our mission in providing support services to cancer patients and their families. Brent and Elizabeth Timberlake have included CancerLINC in their estate plans and recently shared their reasons.

Why did you decide to make a planned/estate gift?

Reliable access to a variety of different sources of donations is a critical component to any successful nonprofit.  One of the essential areas of sustained giving is legacy programs, which allow those with an interest and commitment to CancerLINC and its Mission to provide for CancerLINC in their wills and other estate planning documents.

This allows donors who might like to give larger amounts and to do so when they have the peace of mind to know that they won't need those funds at some point for their own, or their family's, care and well-being. At the same time, it allows CancerLINC to have sustained giving to help the organization serve more cancer patients in more ways and in potentially larger geographic regions.

Why are planned/estate gifts important to organizations like CancerLINC?
My wife, Elizabeth, and I were honored to include CancerLINC in our estate planning documents as a supplement to our annual support of CancerLINC. It is our sincere hope that CancerLINC, and its commitment to helping cancer patients and their families, will continue for generations to come. We hope others will also consider providing for CancerLINC in their estate plans and share that decision with Chris and the staff. Together, we can all give a little, which can have an incredible impact for those in need.
